Job Description:
Real Estate Analyst - Miami, FL - Onsite
- Salary - $150,000 - $155,000
Will play a critical role in supporting the firm's investment activities. This role involves financial modeling, underwriting, due diligence, and market research to evaluate and execute real estate investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare investment memos, including financial models, market analysis, and executive summaries.
- Monitor existing portfolio, gather quarterly financial statements, and prepare analysis of performance.
- Interface with existing borrowers and identify opportunities and/or upcoming issues.
- Analyze real estate transactions, including Bridge, Mezzanine, and Preferred Equity investments.
- Develop pro forma financial statements and cash flow models for prospective deals.
- Conduct thorough market research, evaluating economic, demographic, and real estate trends.
- Perform due diligence by reviewing and analyzing legal, financial, and property-related documents.
- Collaborate with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders to execute and close transactions.
- Support senior management in creating high-quality marketing materials and detailed market analysis.
- Manage the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, underwriting, and deal structuring.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, investment banking, or valuation.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Argus experience is a plus.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with top-level executives.
- Strong research and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- A team-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate market trends, loan structures, and valuation techniques.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with debt placements, loan purchases, or commercial real estate transactions.
- 2-year Investment Banking program experience in NYC
- Exposure to Bridge, Mezzanine, or Preferred Equity structures.
- Bank credit training or equivalent financial analysis experience is desirable.
- Availability for occasional travel within North America.
