Plant Manager – Kernersville, NC (Onsite)

The Plant Manager will plan and direct plant policies, objectives, and initiatives, with profit and loss responsibility for the site; define and execute business plans; manage the operations to ensure production compliance, efficiency, quality, delivery, safety and cost-effective management of resources.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the plant to achieve a safe, compliant, and productive operation that is rooted in the traits of healthy nuclear safety culture.
  • Create and implement staffing plans, promotes and mentors talents, and participates in internship program.
  • Leads lean manufacturing initiatives and capital expenditure plan to improve productivity.
  • Responsible for all production and facility-related expenses, and implements plan to control and reduce spending.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of management team members for compliance with established policies and objectives.
  • Provide input for the strategic vision of the nuclear fabrication group, in particular staffing and investment plans to address new markets.
  • Lead introduction of new products in the fabrication project management department and production line.
  • Continuously assesses plant capacity and capability; plans, develops, and implements strategies for meeting production and financial goals.
  • Develop and reviews operating dashboards, activity reports, and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives.
  • Implements compliant policies, and required fabrication procedures; ensuring training is conducted for personnel.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position:

  • BS degree in a technical, engineering, management or business discipline; or directly related experience in lieu of degree, including 10 years closely related experience.
  • Leadership experience in custom metal fabrication including welding, machining, and painting.
  • You must be able to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings and be able to develop fabrication estimates for fabrication projects.

Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000
